I am trying to implement in-app billing as a form of donation inside my Android app.
Whenever I call startService(new Intent(mContext, BillingService.class)); from my main Java file, the app force closes when I run it. So either I am missing something somewhere or something is wrong with the BillingService. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have been stuck on this for days now.

Take a look at this line from your LogCat :

at com.Calculator.SalesTaxCalculator.Calculator.onCreate(Calculator.java:86

You have a NullPointerException in your onCreate method, so check line 86.

Thanks for replying. This is on line 86: startService(new Intent(mContext, BillingService.class));. I know that is causing the problem, but I am not sure why this is happening and how to fix it. Thanks –  Aubtin Samai Dec 8 '11 at 7:43
    
How are you declaring your BillingService in your manifest file : <service android:name="your.package.name.BillingService" /> . Declare it like that –  Android-Droid Dec 8 '11 at 7:56

No. I am trying this tutorial: mcondev.wordpress.com/2011/06/26/…. When I call checkout.sendCheckoutRequest(purchaseUri.toString(),null);, it crashes. I am still confused how to call purchaseUri and what it is for. –  Aubtin Samai Dec 10 '11 at 18:18
