Two main problems with this. One the very last code block all the way at the bottom of this is giving me the NullPointerException. I want it to add an * every time it detects an event happening on that specific date.

Secondly, I can't seem to get the calendar to go back a month and start on the proper date... It's become very annoying.

Possible null values:

usrMonth[i]
allDays[j]
allDays[j].getText()
eventMarker[j]

In which line do you get the exception exactly?

the catch on the very last method checkEvent(). This IDE doesn't tell me line numbers, it's eclipse if anyone know's how to do that –  Jacob Minshall Dec 11 '11 at 8:46
    
Can't you remove the try catch and let it print the exception? –  Tudor Dec 11 '11 at 8:47
    
Jacob Minshall: Instead of "System.out.println("Null really");" do "e.printStackTrace()" which will give you a stack trace printed to stderr. –  Maxim Veksler Dec 11 '11 at 8:50
    
two if statements for the usrMonth and usrDay with continues if they were null made it give no error, and displayed the * on the proper date. Thanks! I'd up the comment if i had enough rep. –  Jacob Minshall Dec 11 '11 at 9:00
