i'm beginner and I wrote a simple client-server chat application in Java, and to learn something new i decided to write the same app in scala. The problem is that the converted code doesn't work in 100% correct.Java version works great. App should write entered sentence but i get nothing. I tried to find the error however without effect. In server's console I can only see strange random chars as "zdanieWe". Maybe you can help me find the error becouse i doubted.

The problem is when i'm trying to send message from the first client to the second client i get nothing. I suposse the app have problem with getting output stream or getting data from the textfield. I tried to trace the input string however app gets only the first message. Application does not react for the other changes in the textfield. I don't know if the problem is on client or server side.

Consider using higher-level components instead of sockers see for example akka.io –  Arnon Rotem-Gal-Oz Dec 22 '11 at 6:57
