Where n is the number of nodes in the trie (i.e. the number of bits in in the integer), is f=O(lg n), n=O(1) (since the integer is of a fixed, finite size) a valid description of this running time? This reduces to f=O(1).
You can really think that complexity is the same. Because for example log(n) for n = 100000000000000 (which is quite a huge number) is 14, so in this case it's all depends mostly from constants.
