How to remote access a method, or what am I doing wrong? Can you please tell me?:

My problem is that I get an error after running this test case.

I get it working but I don't understand why it is working in another case.

Here is my EJB:

@Stateless
public class OfferManagerBean implements OfferManager, OfferManagerLocal

Where OfferManager is a @Remote interface and OfferManagerLocal is a @Local interface. If I run this on my WebProject(war file) it is working... (I don't have the properties there)

If I let everything like this and run the jUnit test I get an error like:

I found something like:

ctx.lookup("java:global/project/projectEJB/OfferManagerBean!ro.project.ejb.interfaces.OfferManager");

?? isn't there a better/shorter solution? Can anyone tell me why is this happening?

If I let my declaration like:

@Stateless
public class OfferManagerBean implements OfferManager

Everything is working. Do you know how can I fix this?

I'm not explicitly answering your question, but, generally, you shouldn't be implementing both the local and the remote interface in your class. Remote methods will pass-by-value while local will pass-by-reference. You have to carefully manage this. –  Preston Jan 31 '12 at 16:54

You can access your EJB using your code:

OfferManager offerManager = (OfferManager) 
                   ctx.lookup("java:global/project/projectEJB/OfferManagerBean");

only if your EJB implements one interface. In such situation, it's obvious which interface you're interested in (there is only one, so - no magic here).

However, if your EJB implements more than one interface, than you should specify in what interface (view) are you interested in when accessing it through the JNDI.

Therefore you must use full path as defined in Chapter 4.4 Global JNDI Access of EJB 3.1 FR spec:

java:global[/<app-name>]/<module-name>/<bean-name>[!<fully-qualified-intf-name>]

or using java:app or java:module as defined in the specification.
