I am getting the following error:

X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
  Major opcode of failed request: 1 (X_CreateWindow)
  Serial number of failed request: 38
  Current serial number in output stream: 41

Using the code below from my perspective the code is crashing in window object (see below) when calling XCreateWindow():

I get the same error when running in Fedora 14, RHEL 6.1, and Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. This leads me to believe it is a problem with the glx attributes I am passing to glxChooseVisual.

I was trying to do that. I have a simple c example that I took and wrapped in classes. The C code remained the same, but when placed inside my classes it all fell apart. I am trying to understand why. I will see what I can do. –  user1224210 Feb 21 '12 at 20:18

I have been testing/debugging my application for the last few days. Seems like there are alot of differences in behavior and compiling between distributions. I now have it rendering on a timer. But when I move the window around fast on RHEL 6.1 the render loop crashes. On Ubuntu 10.04 it does not. –  user1224210 Feb 23 '12 at 20:20
