I am creating line graph using outputs from a thread, the threads are simulations of incoming and outgoing bill that run over a course of 52 seconds and this will be dipicted on a line graph as shown below to show the bank balance over the 52 seconds!

The problem is I cannot seem to get the Y Axis calculating properly. The code below show output the red marker at the top right hand side of the axis but it does not

Shouldn't this:

double balance = (((double)y / maxY) * Y_AXIS_LENGTH) - Y_AXIS_OFFSET;

be this?

double balance = Y_AXIS_OFFSET - (((double)y / maxY) * Y_AXIS_LENGTH);

No this gives and output of -145, any minus ints will be off the panel. –  Chris Mowbray Mar 2 '12 at 10:29
I seem to have got it, the answer is .....double balance = 365 - ((((double)y / maxY) * Y_AXIS_LENGTH) + Y_AXIS_OFFSET);.....365 is the length of the whole panel –  Chris Mowbray Mar 2 '12 at 11:20
That sounds like Y_AXIS_OFFSET is defined incorrectly. It needs to be the difference between the top of the panel and the origin of your graph. If you set that right then @Hovercraft_Full_Of_Eels' correction is what you need. –  MattLBeck Mar 2 '12 at 12:04
