so i am working on a little game , just for fun mostly, but i've run into a little snag, i'm trying to generate random terrain every time using this algorithm i got from notch's minicraft source i believe.

If anyone can help me, ill be very thankful

my problem is that i have no real idea how to draw this to screen or save it as a texture 2d to draw it to the screen

Why did you comment some parts of the code?

If you just want to be able to put it in an Image, you can do:

System.Drawing.Image yourNewMap; 

using (MemoryStream ms = new MemoryStream(myByteArray,0,myByteArray.Length)) 
{     
    ms.Write(myByteArray,0,myByteArray.Length);     
    yourNewMap = Image.FromStream(ms,true);     
}

Or you could transform this console application into a class by adding all this code into a class, and add a static method returning you the image:

System.Drawing.Image dosent work for me however, but my problem is fixed now – Gravity Mar 4 '12 at 14:41
