Hi friends. I'm trying to store some data into a 2-table-database. Here is its definition:

And this is the code i use to store some data to the second table:

            SQLManager entry = new SQLManager(ConfirmaData.this);
            entry.open();
            entry.createEntry2(tlf);
            entry.close();

Where tlf is a string variable.

I get this error:

E/Database(27790): android.database.sqlite.SQLiteException: near "data": syntax error: , while compiling: INSERT INTO DatosTable(user data) VALUES(?);

Any idea?

I believe the error is due to column name containing space

public static final String KEY_DATA = "user data";

Remove space between user and data

I don't have much experience with SQL, but have you tried to set the ID AUTOINCREMENT? Since you don't add it manually?

As far as I know it's not necessary because the database does it automaticly. In addition, i need that, when the content of the db is deleted, the rowID starts at 1 again. With AUTOINCREMENT this can't be done. –  Aldridge1991 Mar 4 '12 at 16:04

You do not specify a KEY_ROWID in the 'createEntry2' method.

You can make a KEY_ROWID as an autoincremented value

db.execSQL("CREATE TABLE " + DATABASE_TABLE2 + " (" + 
    KEY_ROWID + " INTEGER PRIMARY KEY AUTOINCREMENT, " + 
    KEY_DATA + " TEXT NOT NULL);"
)

Different tables can contain a column with the same name "_id". Both your tables contain a KEY_ROWID column, and it is valid. –  Taras Feschuk Mar 4 '12 at 16:35
