I needed a marquee for a project and after much Googling and trial and error, I created one. However, the animation itself is a little jittery. I need some pointers on how to improve the performance of this. Thanks. p.s. Some of the code may be redundant...

I'm modified your control in the following manner (removing the transform animation, using direct rendering instead of rendering to image cache):
