@J.F.Sebastian Yeah, that's great. But you are using better algorithm. The point was to understand how good can we optimize the simple (stupid) algorithm in different languages.

@meagar Your phrase Don't do this. If you're intentionally recusing 10,000 times, you're doing it horribly wrong and abusing recursion is totally wrong. It is true only in case if language implementation has no tail call support.

Using unchecked-remainder-int or just rem instead of mod along with static typing results to 4x performance increase. Nice!
