a) I'm definitely sure it's using ifort I'm compiling with ifort. bd) the crash that I get when running 0x00002aaaaade1304 in pmpi_comm_spawn_multiple__ () from /usr/local/intel/impi/3.2.0.011/lib64/libmpigf.so.3.2 c) I'm not using mpi_exec because I'm spawning processes manually.

So your saying process 1 spawns 2, then 2 spawns 3, etc... I was trying to avoid MPI_Comm_spawn_multiple so that I could avoid the mess of setting up arrays of commands, info, etc. since I will ultimately end up doing this in Fortran.

Are you updating the getY() each time it is called? The initial position should remain constant through the entire time since x = x0 + v0*dt + 1/2*a*dt^2 computes the absolute position. Make sure the value returned by getY() never changes during each call to calcY().

Is there away to check the cmake version? Something like if (CMAKE_VERSION less than 2.8.8) Cause I'm stuck with 2.8 as the min we support can support.

The issue with that is I only want to add that define for a specific target. I compiling this source twice. Once without the define to produce one library and a second time with it defined to produce a second library. 'add_definitions()' will add that for every target.

Because I'm not writing the file directly. I'm writing a LabView client that talks to a Java server that formats the namelist input to a Fortran code. So in short it's simpler to ask now than try to debug this latter.

If I were doing this I would move to dt to here K1[j] = dt*f(j,ti,x); and only multiply by dt once. This will insure your k's have the same units as you x. Second since you are calculating x, y and z positions, instead of using an array, I would use x, y and z. It would make the code a lot more readable. Your function is actually three functions. So instead of using if statements it would be more efficient and clearer to write them as separate functions taking x, y and z as input. Doing that would also make the code more readable would also eliminate all the for loops in your do loop.

It's very confusing the way you have written it but I see what you are doing now. The problem is you are multiplying by dt twice. In the line y[j] = x[j]+(K3[j])*dt; you multiply by dt so in this line x[j] += dt*((K1[j]/6)+(K2[j]/3)+(K3[j]/3)+(K4[j]/6)); you don't need to multiply by dt.

I don't know if this would work or not but try putting [sender.openGLContext makeCurrentContext] at the beginning of render methods before drawing.

What are the all the properties on innerObject? If you were setting innerObject with an auto released object in -prepare, that object will get eaten by the autorelease pool even if anObject is retained.

__block only changes whether the variable is constant or not. It has nothing to do with it's retain count.
