I am running some analysis based on your questions; I also do not know how much error is going to be. If there is too much error then differing size should be taken into consideration otherwise not. I will update here as soon as I am done with my analytics.

exactly, thats what I am trying to say. But currently this is our best guess. You can confirm this guess using glsllang and get value which is assigned to uniform in the shader. After this you can report a bug

I think you are worried too much. Go ahead with any implementation and you will be fine. Android's double buffering is actually tripple buffering and it does not accept your latest draw buffer until prev_to_prev has finished and prev has started. PS: this is true for HC-1.3, without HWC. Are/have you experiencing any REAL issue stated in your problems?

use glsllang - a reference compiler and compile your shader. You can get uniform reflection of compiled binary. If that is working fine, you can confirm its a bug with the implementation, probably false optimization.

buhh... you are right, I should get over my laziness and put shaders in different files. Thank you so much. Just for the sake of completeness, your suggested method won't work for file'd shaders on android as files will be compressed apk(I never told before I am on Android). Asset Manager is required.

@AndonM.Coleman, what I am passing in uniform is time_per_frame. So passing time in vertex shader, and pipeline can provide that as an input to fragment shader. So why can't I, unless ethics deny that? The other two uniforms being mat4 Mprojection and mat4 MMview. Sorry for not mentioning it, but I have told my vertex shader here. Only multiplication of these two matrices, and attibute vec3 aVer
