I think so, because my fragment shader owns a unique uniform texture2d sampler declaration! (The goal of my shader program is to render geometry with a simple texture mapping plus ADS).

Hello. This question is talking about multi texturing problem. For example Lara Croft can be mapped with a color map for the hard color of the character and to render some fakes reliefs on her we can use additionnal texture like normal maps or bump maps. This way I will have to use glActiveTexture twice and use these texture units in the fagment shader. But it's not my problem here (as I said above). All I want to know is the following question: Do I need 2 shader program instances to render a scene composed of 2 batches (1 rendered with 'texture_1' and the other with 'texture_2')?

Hello. Your solution is the one I used before using uniform blocks. Effectively this solution works but using glUniformXXX method like I said at the top of my post. And these informations have to be sent each frame unlike with the Uniform Buffer Object (sotoring data in cache). The data does not need to be sent each frame! If you look my fragment shader source code above you will see your solution is the one I use for light information 'struct light' (hereafter, this structure will desappear in favor of a new uniform block, like for the actual MaterialBlock).

Hello. I tried to find a link to download gdebugger for NVIDIA but I only found the following one : opengl.org/sdk/tools/gDEBugger but the download link does not work! I tried to install AMD gdebugger and use it but the software says I have no AMD GPU installed (this is normal, I have a NVDIA graphic card). So, is there a way to use the AMD gdebugger with a NVDIA card ? If it's not possible, do you know another link to download gdebugger for NVIDIA? Thanks a lot in advance for your help!
