Thank's for your reply, @Stephen C! The client has to work on very time-critical tasks (even a very small increase of its speed has a big effect). But rewriting the whole project to C/C++ or in some parts even to Assembler would be too much work for a minimal increase of speed. So using JNI was my first idea. Then i got aware of CNI and read that it is more efficient. I did several speed tests and CNI tourned out to be the best choice for the algorithms i want to use. Since CNI is in maintenance mode i thought there should be a way to get it work. But if it turns out there isn't i'll use JNI.
