Thanks a lot. You helped me more than you think you did cos the next step for me will be to implement Hausdorff Distance in OpenCL for my project and I needed to understand the basics of OpenCL for it. I have been on this for 3 continuous days.....Now am at peace there is a lot more to learn....

thank you very much. You solved my problem. By the way, This is also working: platform = cl.get_platforms(); my_gpu_devices = platform[0].get_devices(cl.device_type.GPU); ctx = cl.Context([my_gpu_devices[0]])
