Seems that this is not explained in the documentation. I would expect few words like "if full_output is set to True" in the description of the returns cov,infodict and mesg.

Is there any reason why not to use popt1, pcov1 = curve_fit( func1withpenalization, x, y ), where the definition of func1withpenalization includes the penalization, e.g,: def func1withpenalization(p,x,y): integral = quad( func1, 0, pi, args=(p[0],p[1],p[2],p[3]))[0]; penalization = abs(2.-integral)*10000; return y - func1(x, p[0],p[1],p[2],p[3]) - penalization

This solution is OK, but I dont like its style. In fact, in some cases I need to generate many numbers with different parameters extremes, for example numers from Uniform[0,10], Uniform[0,12], etc. Is there a way to insert these parameters when the method is called (rather than when the object is constructed) ??
