Matlab PRBS 4 waveform generation
@Jommy : I have used it. Actually, I want to take magnitude spectrum of a 32 Gbps PRBS4 signal. The above signal, I want to generate, would be the time domain signal. Then I can take fft of it and plot the abs of fft to get the magnitude spectrum. The problem is with stairs, I will get the waveform with 15 bits. But, I dont know how to make this signal a 32Gbps signal. Please tell me if you know to do it. |

In PRBS 7, we have continuous 6 0's and 7 1's. The number of 0's and 1's are almost same in PRBS 7. Now, I want to analyze whether there is any pattern which repeats when you get maximum number of A's, B's etc with different delays. I want to use this pattern for testing. So, it is better if it is equal number of inputs of each symbol. I was reading in an IEEE paper that they were using Galois field to analyze nonbinary pseudo-random sequences.I dont know how to use Galois field.I wanted to confirm if it is possible to use it. |

Hello CST-Link, Many thanks for your reply. Everything what you have explained in the beginning is what I know. As you have explained, the association I am using it is A = [0 0], B = [0 1], C = [1 0] and D = [1 1]. I have written the code with the delay in Matlab. |

Thank you very much for your replies SleuthEye and rayryeng. I assume it is uniform sampling since I have taken it from a real time oscilloscope. But I will confirm this by reading some material. Thanks again for solving my problem. |

These values are taken from a real time oscilloscope. I had not changed any settings in the oscilloscope. I have a 4:1 MUX. I sent four 8 Gbps signals to the MUX and the output is a 32 Gbps signal. The input pattern is a PRBS7 signal. I measured this in the real time oscilloscope and saved the data values in a csv which I am now processing in Matlab.I am not usre why the first time value is a negative value. |
