It should also be noted that radial_basis_kernel requires the samples to be column vectors. So you can't use a rows by 9 matrix with radial_basis_kernel.

In dlib, all these functions are templates. So they are really declared like template<typename funct_type> double f(funct_type). So that's where it comes from.

Well, the HTTP headers are supposed to be terminated with a \r\n sequence. So if that isn't being sent before the end of the connection (EOF) then something is wrong with how the HTTP POST is being constructed.

Your code looks fine. I would put a print statement at the throw site (dlib/server/server_http.cpp line 140) and print the string that has gotten to be 16KB long and see what it is.

You literally predict the y value that has the biggest score. So you have to write some code that, implicitly or explicitly, computes the score for all the possibly y values and then returns whichever one got the biggest score. That's the prediction at test time.
