I am MSc. student in the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. I am interested in graph algorithms, data structures, theory of computation, artificial intelligence (and especially Machine Learning) and OOP languages, especially Java.

I am not a native English speaker and encourage everyone to fix any language mistakes I make.

It doesnt work Why? Compilation Error? Run time errro? wrong output? If it's giving wrong answer - please provide a test case + expected and actual result that demonstrates the issue. You should also use a debugger (or even better, split code to smaller methods and write unit-tests, bu debugger would be fine for now).

By "Algorithm for implementing Tic Tac Toe", do you mean an agent (AI player)? UI for playing? leaderboard? Please elaborate what exactly are you after. Also, what do you mean by "most efficient?" In what terms? (it is obviously highly related to the first question)

This is way too broad to be done as an app for someone not from the fields. Meteorology is an entire field of research, and you most likely are going to need a BSc in meteorology at the very least to be able to even understand the basics of how it can be done. (Similarly, you are not going to build an app that does brain surgery without having an M.D. on your team, wouldn't you?)

While it might be a nice question, I don't think it fits the Q-A format very well. "The best algorithms" is not defined very well, and might cause debating, there is no direct good answer for that question. @starter I did, the step is go through every element and ask it "can you be first?" Then, recursively invoke on the reminder after using this coin. The DP is only building the array from first to last in order to improve performance.

@starter I changed the code to make it the DP solution (and not brute force). I believe it is pretty easy to translate it to java code, but I am not sure I'll be able to do so until much later

@starter Because you sum all possibilities to choose each element as the first one. When you choose to place 1 as the first element you get [1,_,_,_], in D(x-coins[0]). As the recursion goes, it will become among others [1,1,1,2]. But if you chose D(x-coins[1]), you choose the first element as 2, and you will get [2,_,_,_], which in turn will also develop [2,1,1,1]

@MarkoTopolnik Because of the assumption I mentioned of "existing" is much less common (magnitudes smaller) than "non existing", and thus storing only the "existing" in a Set is more space efficient (again, following the mentioned assumption).
