Mobile Web Developer Opportunity:
SplitP is on a mission to make the real world more interesting using new mobile technology. We are a small, nimble team executing BIG ideas, supported by one of the largest Telco’s in the world: SK Telecom Americas.
Over 2 years ago we released iSpy (http://ispyapp.com), one of the first location based mobile games for the iPhone. Today, we’re taking everything we learned about mobile + social + local + gaming to the next level with a brand new project.
Responsibilities:
• Architect and implement a front-end web application from the ground up
• Play a key role in product development and direction of our new product
• Work with UI/UX designers to regularly iterate on user experience
• Implement new backend features as they are rolled out
• Develop & maintain backend tools that work a lot better than they look
Education Requirements:
• BS or higher in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Experience:
• Working with various web services and ReST APIs
• Excellent knowledge of HTML/Javascript/CSS and cross-(mobile) browser compatibility issues
• Possess a thorough understanding of web application architecture, having firm understanding of software development principals
• Developing mobile web applications and savvy with the new HTML 5 specs
• Solid Javascript & AJAX experience
• Familiar with JS frameworks such as jQuery, mootools, YUI, especially mobile frameworks like Sencha Touch and jQTouch
Bonus Skills
• LAMP or other Web application stacks
• Familiar with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with version control (mercurial)
• Experience wire framing and basic Photoshop mockups
