As an iPhone dev you will need to take pride in your technical skills and get satisfaction from delivering solutions that impress. You will need to fit into a team without fixed hierarchy and succeed on your technical merit while being able to explain technical issues to clients in a way they understand. You will need to accept constructive criticism and you will be expected to provide it. You will find your ideas appreciated and you will get things done.
You will need to be eager to start using ARC, Storyboarding, iCloud, Core Image etc. - we’re just back from WWDC and we’re inspired.
Skills & requirements
Specific skills and experience required are:
- Objective C, Cocoa & Cocoa Touch frameworks using Xcode
- A portfolio of delivered iPhone apps
- User Interface design and development
- Agile Development methodologies practices, i.e. Scrum, XP, Test-driven development
- Excellent oral communication skills and visual presentation
Additional skills and experience that would be highly regarded are:
- Ruby on Rails
- Java, JEE
- Other mobile platforms
- Cross-platform toolkits
Years of experience are not a limitation. If you have demonstrated iPhone experience, we want to talk to you.
