Senior Manager QA

Summary:

We are currently seeking  full-time candidates for our Direct Software Quality Assurance team to achieve the highest quality testing for numerous enterprise and consumer grade software solutions. Responsible for managing all facets of Quality Assurance team including: Reviewing Functional Requirements for testability, Developing/Maintaining test procedures, Building test automation capabilities, executing test phases and capturing all process and results.

Essential Functions:

• Improve Automation capabilities within QA Department. GSB is focused on increasing our pool of automated tests to increase efficiency, decrease test time and remove human errors.
• Analyze/Review/Approve functional specification, requirements and design documents. Develop test scenarios and craft test procedures from said documents.
• Work closely with product and engineering leads to establish and enforce QA processes across all product lines.
• Develop, Improve and Maintain documented processes to improve the reproducibility and efficiency of the department.
• Establish and maintain schedule for product test plans and QA personnel. Provide QA metrics/dashboard of status to the corporation.
• Communicate QA progress and status to upper management.
• Analyze application specification and design documents to determine test scenarios and craft test procedures.
• Identify areas of risk to ensure appropriate testing is completed within the given timeframe.
• Provide QA perspective and review during specification and design phases in the product life cycle.
• Manage QA department personnel and assets including test network and automation test bed assets.
• Continue to develop quality assurance system and policy improvements to enhance QA program capabilities.
• Work closely with product and engineering leads to establish and enforce QA processes across product line.
• Identify process gaps, propose and drive initiatives to strengthen overall product quality.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Thorough understanding of Windows server and desktop operating systems.
• Skilled in network testing, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Formal testing background as part of a QA Department, including manual QA experience.
• Thorough understanding of testing methodology and ability to develop and test products derived from requirements.
• Experience with Automated Testing Tools (Smart Bear’s Automated QA preferred).
• Experience with Requirement/Defect/Test Management Systems (TFS/StarTeam Preferred).
• Experience in testing Windows and Web based applications.
• BS or 5+ years SQA Management Experience.
