Job Description

As a Java developer at Basebone you will:

• Develop and maintain Java and PHP highly optimized, fast code in a rapidly developing, dynamic, messaging connected environment.
• Write shell scripts, crontabs, PHP CLI scripts etc.
• Choosing the proper database solution (MySQL, Cassandra etc) for your code and optimizing the code and queries.
• Work in small teams, taking ownership of a business area and managing requirements and goals with company internal stakeholders independently. In other words, be the expert.

Minimum Qualification:

University studies and/or equivalent experience.

 Technical Skills:

• 2+ years experience working with JAVA (not only J2EE) and OO PHP (5/7).
• Good knowledge of MySql , query and resource optimization and/or professional NoSQL experience.
• Linux / Unix knowledge: you know how to play wit the command line.
• Knowledge and experience with shell scripting (ksh, bourne, bash, csh, PHP, etc).
• Basics in HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap are assumed.

 Nice if you have:

• Experience with Cassandra / RabbitMQ / Couchbase / Percona XtraDB.
• Knowledge about Eclipse, Intellij, SVN, Git, PhpStorm, Python, PHP 7, HAProxy.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects, rapidly changing priorities and deliver results under pressure.

Soft Skills

• Fluent in English,  both in writing and verbally.
• Team work spirit
