We are currently looking for a senior front-end engineer with strong javascript skills to work on our core applications and public APIs. You'll work closely with our product, design, and backend teams to implement user-facing features. As a senior member of the team, you'll assist in making architectural decisions, growing our team, and mentoring junior engineers.

Skills & Requirements

4+ years experience as a team member in a production code environment
Deep knowledge of the JavaScript/HTML5/CSS3 web development stack and larger ecosystem
Experience with a component based architecture (React)
Proficient understanding of responsive design implementation and cross-device compatibility issues
Experience writing unit, integration, and acceptance tests
Solid track record of combining long-term architectural strategy with short-term progress
Experience refactoring legacy code, can communicate and motivate this process
Experience implementing responsive designs for large-scale applications
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools and review processes
Authorized to work in the United States

PLUSES

Experience mentoring junior engineers
Functional programming experience (with Scala, a double-plus)
Basic knowledge of image editing and wireframing tools (Sketch, Photoshop)
Experience with unidirectional data flow (Flux/Redux)
Full stack experience with Node.js and MySQL (or other relational database systems)
Educational experience, such as teaching, developing educational materials, or other positions in education
