We need a full stack web developer - someone who can take on board a business requirement, think creatively about it and design & implement an elegant solution.

The right candidate will:

• have a passion for well-designed web & mobile apps and an understanding of why they work so well
• be able to apply that understanding to a new service so that it is intuitive, quick and enjoyable to use
• have the technical skillset, acumen and interest to deliver the functionality with thoughtful, accurate and efficient code

The role involves working in an Agile (Kanban) environment on projects including the design & development of:

• new features to expand the addressable market for our product
• new features in response to demand from our existing customers
• APIs and tools to make it easier for new customers to onboard, and integrate the DX with their other systems (e.g. finance / data warehouses etc.)

Additionally, we need to develop a migration path for our main Play Java app. We would like the new joiner to help design our future architecture and tech stack. (We have already deployed a number of Node micro-services, but we're open minded about the best technologies to use for future services.)

Technologies we're currently using: Javascript, React, Java, Play, Postgres, Node.js, Ansible, Git.

Role details:

• Permanent position
• £50k to £75k depending on experience
• Based in London, or remote working (in the UK) with a day in the office every week or so
• Start date: ASAP
