Senior WPF Developer

MediaCore is looking for a talented software developer who specialises in XAML (either WPF or Silverlight) to work on a cutting edge software solution that will revolutionise the way advertising is bought and sold in Australia.

As a senior developer on the team you'll be responsible for crafting beautiful user experiences that will help us forge an edge over our competition, giving you the chance to fine tune your skills in a highly agile environment.

Media Core is part of the Landsberry & James Group, which has over 20 years experience in building media and advertising applications which are currently licensed internationally to major media organisations.

In this role you will:

• Design, develop and deliver quality software using leading edge technologies including: WPF, WCF, SQL Server and .NET 4.0
• Focus on quality and ensure the integrity of component designs throughout all phases of development
• Pro-actively and continuously upgrade technical skills in new products and development technologies
• Apply industry-best practice utilisation of technology
• Interact with development teams and potentially, customers

• At least 5-7 years advanced C# development experience in a commercial environment
• Extensive experience developing graphical user interfaces in either Silverlight or WPF
• Strong relational database design capability with MS SQL Server
• A strong background in Object Oriented Development and understanding of design patterns
• Experience developing n-tier applications and Service Oriented Architecture
  Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
