The Senior Software Engineer will help develop a SaaS app that will bring together a broad range of open source solutions. The successful candidate will work in a globalized, highly collaborative environment and will be given the freedom to innovate new product ideas and technologies for their product area.
About You
- You have a good understanding of security processes and technology.
- You are an advocate of Agile Software Development Methodology and are familiar with a project management tool like JIRA or Yodiz.
- You have a University degree in the field of computer science, information systems or software engineering
- You have over 5+ years of experience in development.
Technical Requirements
- You are a master of Ruby, with exposure to Sinatra, Ruby on Rails, or some other ruby-based web framework.
- You have some ability with Javascript, preferrably with a framework or library like React or Polymer.
- You are a strong believer in TDD (or BDD) and have written tests in Cucumber and/or Selenium

Our Engineering Process
Our tech team is given both the freedom and responsibility to build awesome things. Quality is a top priority. As a team member, you’ll be involved in the full software life cycle, from the requirements gathering, design and development to ownership and maintenance. While our fast-paced agile deployment cycle means we can iterate quickly. On occasion, you might be asked to shift your work day by a few hours in order to communicate technical requirements with the South African development team.
