Cipher Tech is seeking a mid-level Systems Forensic Examiner to analyze media in order to identify forensic artifacts of interest supporting intrusions activity, detailing the logical processes undertaken and develop forensic reports.
- Must be a US Citizen with a SECRET security clearance (no exceptions)
- Must have prior experience with Windows system administration, including Windows Server/network infrastructure and Windows Registry hives
- Must have experience with installation and maintenance with web service and database software
- Must be familiar with anti-virus products including analysis of application logs for threat detections
- Must be familiar with known Cyber-attack methodologies, exploit techniques, cyber kill-chain
- Must understand network protocols and networking concepts
- Must have knowledge of virtual environments
- Must be familiar with Windows
- Must have strong report writing skills
- Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Computer Forensics + 1 year of related experience
- Experience using EnCase or FTK
- Python scripting experience
- Experience with forensic media imaging
- One industry certification such as EnCE, ACE, CCE, GIAC or DoD

The goal of a reverse engineer is to understand how the malicious code is working and determine things like: how did it infect the victims computer, what kind of information it is seeking to steal, how it's communicating with the author (actor), and who that actor might be.
