D3 Oncology Solutions is hiring a contract-to-hire senior developer to work regular business hours Monday through Friday at its Shadyside location. The senior developer will join our team of developers responsible for the design, development, testing, support and maintenance of software systems and applications utilizing stand-alone and client/server n-tier architectures. This position will interact with other members of the development team, internal users and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain web applications
- Design, develop and maintain Internet and intranet based solutions
- Design, develop and maintain back-end processing systems
- SQL Server database programming
- Debugging and resolving code based issues
- Testing and analysis of software modules
- Technical evaluation of emerging technologies
- Develop technical and system documentation
- Performs all other duties as assigned
- Performs in accordance with system wide competencies/behaviors
- Complete ongoing training on-the-job, through courses, self-study, certifications and/or advanced degrees to maintain and enhance technical and business capabilities.
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of the fundamental tools and concepts of one of the information technology professional disciplines (i.e., Applications, Business Analysis, Customer Service, Data, Networking, Operations, Security, Systems Engineering, etc.) and applies that understanding to make independent practical contributions to IT work within a particular UPMC department or function.
- Meet IT Career Level Criteria for Individual/Team Contributors outlined in the Universal Criteria Leveling Guide.
- Additionally, this position may be required to maintain a stand by status as part of a rotation within the team. This requires 24 hours per day, 7 days per week availability during the stand by period. The frequency varies based upon the number of colleagues in the rotation.
Skills & requirements
- 3-5 years of professional experience with Java, J2EE, Spring MVC framework, Hibernate, JavaScript, JQuery, XML, XSLT, XPATH, AJAX.
- Experience with Maven2, Eclipse, JBoss, Apache, IIS 7.
- Experience with T-SQL Programming, SQL Server 2005/2008
- Experience with Web Services Standards (SOAP, JAX-RPC, WSDL), SOA, Enterprise Service Bus preferred.
- Experience in HL7 preferred.
