Fetch is a world changing project, a “decentralised digital world” where autonomous software agents act on the behalf of their owners, or their own interests to perform useful economic work. Fetch to us, and our thousands of community members is one of the most exciting projects of the moment and future.
We have a working prototype in which active agents solve complex distributed problems scaling in difficulty with speed. A scaling ledger poised to be working at 1,000,000 transactions a second. World leading machine learning researchers are creating true intelligence in our distributed ledger.
We’re looking for exceptional people of all disciplines and skill levels to help bring Fetch to life.

The role involves the design and implementation of cryptography techniques to build, maintain and enrich the functionalities of Fetch’s decentralised smart-ledger technology. Interested candidates will be provided with multiple opportunities to work at the intersection of AI/ML and cryptography/security.
We are working at the cutting edge of cryptography, artificial intelligence, distributed computation and economics, and are therefore looking for people with a desire to create novel solutions for complex problems. A good mathematical background is, of course, essential as are programming skills in Python or C/C++.
Cryptography Engineers must have these vital skills:
- A BSc/MSc in Cyber Security/Computer Science/Mathematics or a related field with previous exposure to programming with cryptography
- Demonstrable skills in one or more of the following: systems security/protocol design/distributed computing
- Proven track record of independently and successfully driving projects
Software engineering skills:
- C++, Python, C
Additional highly valued skills are:
- PhD degree in mathematics/computer science or a related field with a focus on either cryptography, cyber security, distributed computation or blockchain systems
- Experience in designing, implementing, and/or optimizing core cryptographic libraries
- Knowledge and technical experience in several of the following: encryption, hashing, key management, digital certificates, TLS

Develop agents and new applications Developers
Fetch will be providing a comprehensive SDK allowing the development of agents in languages such as C++ and Python as well as a set of frameworks to allow web developers to design, configure and author agents. Agents are able to explore the Fetch decentralised digital world looking for opportunities to deliver their value to others, or gather relevant value for themselves. Developing this next generation of economic agents is an opportunity for emerging and new economic models and Fetch will be supporting developers in this work.
The founding team has worked together on AI and its application in autonomous systems for the last 3 years. It has further spent over a year partnered with world leading economists and professors from Cambridge University, Sheffield University, Imperial College and Outlier Ventures on building open economic frameworks underpinned with crypto assets and DLT.
