The team is responsible for managing the technology to deliver and front office trading platform facing external clients of JP Morgan (for institutional liquidity products). Global Liquidity is undertaking an aggressive platform re-engineering to transform the trading, portfolio management and credit management platforms from their current technologies to dynamic web based platforms. We are building best in class applications and API’s that will meet trader, regulatory, performance and functional needs.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Advanced knowledge of architecture, design across all systems
- Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages: C# or Java (preferably Java 1.8 functional programming experience)
- Knowledge of industry wide technology strategies and best practices
- Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
- Working experience of multi-tier application development and has expertise developing applications for both client and server side
- In-depth knowledge of at least one major front-end web framework (React, etc.)
- Experience using API design and documentation tools, such as Swagger or RAML
- Strong experience with CSS, and preferably a CSS preprocessor such as LESS or SCS
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs
- Experience using relational databases (Oracle, Sybase etc.) (Dynamic SQL, stored procedures, tuning for performance etc.)
