New Construction Bookkeeper opportunity for a long term client based in New Jersey.

My client are a general contractor working on civil engineering projects including the water works.
Your new role
As a member of the executive team, the Bookkeeper will be integral to the company meeting its financial goals and growth plans. The position is responsible for budgeting, job profitability, cash flow, financial reporting, timely and accurate closing and month-end adjustments, setting goals, and AR/AP. Pleas note the below is an over view of duties:
- AIA billing
- Liaise and work closely with the CPA
- Monthly accruals, depreciation, taxes
- Bank reconciliation
- budget vs actuals updates
- AP invoices linking to job costing
- Financial reporting including P&L, balance sheet, AR/AP summaries
What you'll need to succeed
- You will have a BA degree in Accounting
- 5 - 7 years experience within an accounting role and circa 5 years utilizing GAAP standards
- 2 - 5 years of construction experience
- Knowledge of Quickbooks
- Public agency projects are highly desirable and include NYCDEP, NYDDC, SCA, and Port Authority
