Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an , IT-Cerner Mpages/CCL Software Developer III who, under limited direction, has full technical knowledge and thorough understanding of business application of the project. Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on an assigned development team. Assists in scheduling and coordinating projects and may be involved in the design phase of projects. Works with customers and technical staff to resolve problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Acts as team leader on projects and participates in the development of software user manuals. Performs additional functions as detailed by immediate supervisor.
Skills & requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience preferred. Nine years relevant technical experience without a degree required. Masters degree in a relevant technical discipline with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience desired. Demonstrated expertise in the principles of Systems Analysis and Design, Software Development, Software Testing, Systems Documentation Preparation, and Project Management. For Application Development: Demonstrated expertise in relational databases, Healthcare Information Management Systems, Object Oriented Programming, and Use Case Analysis. Demonstrated expertise in one, and a demonstrated competence in a second, of the following three programming environments: ASP/ASP.NET, Visual Basic/Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)/VB.NET, or JAVA/J2EE. For Report Development: Demonstrated competence in all, with demonstrated expertise in two or more, of the following tools: COBOL, Enform/Entruder, SQL, Crystal/Microsoft Report Services, Demonstrated expertise in Healthcare Information Management Systems. For Interface Development: Demonstrated expertise in HL7, XML, and Healthcare Information Management Systems. Demonstrated competence in all, with demonstrated expertise in two or more, of the following interface types: ADT, Orders, Results/Transcription, Charges. Demonstrated competence in UNIX.
Other Qualifications:
5+ years of experience working for a health care company,
5+ years of experience with Cerner Discern Utilities,
5+ years of experience with Cerner Command Language,
3+ years of experience of custom MPages development
