Deep Learning Software Engineer
Our client is developing cutting edge video and radar-based image processing technology utilizing deep learning and AI techniques. They are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join their team who has a strong background knowledge of deep learning techniques who can train models and deploy them on advanced hardware. This is a direct hire position in St. Paul, MN.
- Conduct advanced research for Computer Vision utilizing Deep Learning and AI
- Train, augment, evaluate, optimize, and deploy new neural network models.
- Charting out achievable problem spaces; establishing clear development goals, milestones, and deliverables.
- Rapidly develop proof-of-concept implementations, prototypes, and demos to vet technologies and techniques
- Produce algorithms that first meet the performance acceptance criteria, then optimize the algorithm to run as efficiently as possible
- Perform experiments and evaluations to quantify and validate improvements made to existing systems
- Investigate new technologies to keep products ahead of the competition
- Innovate and develop algorithms and solutions to advance object tracking and classification
- Perform source control, code reviews, and bug tracking
- Provide technical expertise and vision in key areas of interest: object detection, tracking, and recognition
- Assume responsibility for the overall planning, execution, delivery and success of algorithm performance
- Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or similar field
- 2+ years of development and prototyping experience using real-time computer vision and graphic systems
- 1+ years of experience working with and deploying deep learning models
- Programming skills using Python and C/C++ with a solid understanding of software development principles.
- Familiarity with at least one of the following deep learning library environments: TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Caffe, Theano, etc.
- Strong experience in image processing and nice to have background including feature extraction, feature matching, object classification and motion estimation.
- Strong experience with source control systems (ex. Git, SVN)
- Able to succeed in an Agile Scrum environment.
- Should be able to travel nationally and internationally as needed
- Experience with real-time embedded systems
- Experience targeting and optimizing computer vision algorithms to run efficiently on real-time hardware including OpenCL, GPU’s, FPGA’s, ARM Neon, CUDA, Open ACC, or OpenMP
- Experience with radar signal systems
