Front End Developer - Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, Agile, TypeScript

Overview

Mimecast is looking for a Front End Software Engineer to join our expanding engineering team in our Central London office. Our team combines technical acumen with a passion for creating intuitive and engaging user experiences. We are a bunch of passionate Software Engineers who are in love with modern web technologies. We have a can-do attitude and thrive delivering the next generation of Web Applications. This is a team for people who get excited about making Web UIs with the latest Web Standards. We nurture and support each other in our own development through knowledge transfer and coaching as well as innovating and contributing as a closely-knit team delivering Mimecast’s next generation of Web Applications.

Responsibilities

• Create state of the art web apps that allow our customers to easily manage their Mimecast email and cyber security environment
• Build, deploy and maintain dynamic applications using rapid delivery within an Agile development framework
• Highlight improvements and actively drive changes through the Engineering organization
• Collaborate effectively, to provide and receive constructive feedback and share knowledge within your product team as well as the wider Engineering function

Experience & Skills needed

• Extensive experience building responsive web UIs that are maintainable, scalable and robust; ideally with Angular 2+ and Typescript
• Broad knowledge of the web platform, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, HTTP/S, performance and security
• Experience of web deployment and hosting frameworks
• Knowledge of tools and strategies for testing web UIs. e.g. WebDriver, Protractor, Cypress
• Demonstrable understanding of solid coding, OO patterns and best practices
• Great communication skills and evidence of successful collaboration with designers and backend engineers
