Job description
Our ideal candidate(s) will be experienced at generating top quality test plans in collaboration with our development and project management teams and be familiar with techniques on user friendliness and be able to pinpoint where fixes will be needed. This individual must understand all aspects that bring a website or digital project together and should understand the following topics at a basic level- navigation: page layout, copy issues, traffic issues, user interaction issues and be able to communication with the developers and PMs on all these topics using bug tracking tools.
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for the full QA Test Life Cycle for websites, mobile websites and web apps, social media apps, and mobile apps
- Finding bugs and automating the testing process for all digital projects
- Documenting test plans and diagnosing performance issues
- Developing new testing frameworks and workflows.
- Report on usability, playability and identifying any aspects which could be improved within a digital project.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement of the QA process.
- Increase the quality of our products and improve the testing environments
- Have a clear idea about the technology and business and offer innovative solutions to improve the current test platform
- Understand the best practices of web development and work closely with the development teams to suggest ways and means of improving user experience.
- Understand the project lifecycle and work closely with the PM team to ensure projects are delivered on time, on spec, and on budget.
Skills & requirements
What you need to apply:
- 2 years as a QA Engineer doing performance testing
- Experienced at pinpointing site bugs, problems, and ability to provide valuable information for site user experience
- Familiarity with testing software, candidates with JIRA experience will move to the top of the list.
- Ability to create test plans, scripts and cases and managing the execution.
- Current knowledge of information architecture, user behavior, and habits on the web
- Understands best web layout practices
- Analytical and good with reason and logics
- Exceptional follow through and attention to detail
- Great communication skills
- Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript and CSS
- Experience with testing on mobile and tablet devices a plus.
