Our mission at Hummingbot is to democratize high frequency trading (HFT), and we’re seeking an experienced technical product manager to guide the development of the core Hummingbot open source codebase: https://github.com/coinalpha/hummingbot
You will be responsible for steering the growth of the project by working with both internal core developers along with external contributors. You’ll work closely with Hummingbot’s CEO and CTO to ensure that the codebase serves both beginners, professional traders, and developers.
This is a high-profile externally facing role, so strong communication skills, technical knowledge, and crypto trading experience are highly desirable.

What you'll be doing:
- Provide leadership and expertise in software development processes, from initiation to implementation
- Gather and evaluate user functional requirements in collaboration with the company’s founders, engineers, and community members
- Design and own the project roadmap: establish project requirements, priorities, and deadlines
- You will be the engineering team’s quarterback: coordinate team members and drive the team’s efficiency
You're a great fit if you have:
- At least 5-10 years of software development project management experience with a proven track record working with high-performing teams
- Experience working with remote engineering teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Outstanding attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- A desire to collaborate and a proven ability to lead projects involving cross-functional teams
- Familiarity and interest in crypto trading
Nice to have:
- Previous startup experience
- Experience with or knowledge of blockchain apps/dapps
- Experience in or knowledge of trading (e.g. stocks, crypto)
- Empathy for technical users and their needs
