Job description
The Software Architect is responsible for the technical vision of Imagine Solution’s core product Encapture—a robust distributed document capture product that supports a diverse set of clients including Web browser, Microsoft Office applications, print driver, mobile (iOS and Android), and a front panel application on multifunction printers (MFPs). The Software Architect works with Product Engineering management and Product Management to estimate and prioritize product features as well as suggest implementation strategies. Additionally, he or she is responsible for leading and mentoring a group of talented developers. Familiarity with Agile software development processes and techniques such as Scrum and User Stories is essential.
In addition to technical leadership, this is a 50-60% development role.
Responsibilities:

*Assist in detailing and estimating tasks *Assist in refining user stories and detailing acceptance criteria *Ensure dependencies between user stories are maintained
Construction
*Ensure technical vision maintained *Ensure vision correctly implemented *Participate in implementation
Skills & requirements
Requirements:
*5+ Years implementing multi-layer enterprise products.
*Excellent communication skills required
*Experience with agile development methodologies and techniques required.
*Expert Level with Microsoft .NET technologies including C# programming required.
*Experience with Java required.
*Experience with relational database technologies (especially Oracle and MS SQL Server) required.
*Experience with Web technologies (XML, REST, SOAP, WCF, Web and Application Servers, HTML) required.
*Experience with C++ preferred.
*Experience with Directories (LDAP and AD) preferred.
*Diverse development background preferred
*Experience with security software beneficial
Must be local, or willing to relocate to Dallas area
Excellent oral and written communication skills; fluently speak, read, and write English.
