What We’re Looking For

Vantage Point Logistics is looking for an Application Development Team Lead to join our fast-growing team! As an App Dev Team Lead at VPL, you will play an important role in guiding team development efforts to successfully deliver projects that delight customers. We're looking for creative problem solvers, "change the world" thinkers, cooperative collaborators and boundless positivity. 

What You’ll Do

• Provide technical leadership to drive the successful completion of development projects
• Work closely and collaboratively with product management, QA, and DevOps as part of the product development team
• Create and/or approve technical design documentation
• Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards
• Be an active participant in coding of applications in addition to providing direction and coordinating work assignments and team activities
• Ensure that development standards are met by providing guidance to team and participating in code reviews
• Provide guidance for new feature integration and key architectural decisions in collaboration with team lead counterparts
• Act as a technology and domain subject matter expert for applications created and maintained by the team
• Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties
• Recommend and implement tools associated with team-based software development
• Provide encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for additional growth or training

What You’ll Bring

• • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience managing healthcare, technology and/or software engineering projects
  • 5+ years of technology experience that includes at least 2 years as team lead or equivalent management experience
  • Exceptional work ethic, attention to detail and superior problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with moderate supervision in a fast paced, high-growth organization
  • Ability to hit the ground running and take ownership of project areas quickly
  • Experience developing web applications and relational database software
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum software development practices
  • Passion for ensuring customer success and helping others
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
