Android Lead at Buffer

Buffer now has over 1.3 million users and generates $3.9m per year.  Android app has been growing fast. Unfortunately our team hasn't had the right resources to fully devote our time to it. That's where you come in.

We're looking for someone to hop on board and lead development of our already successful Android app. Here are some extra details:

• The app is already well loved by our users with a 4.3 rating
• ~300k total downloads
• Over 5k daily active users
• Available in Google Play, Kindle and Blackberry stores
• There is so much more we can do with our Android app

As our Android Lead you will:

• own the Android app. In charge of leading development and building an Android team
• ship to thousands of users and iterate quickly
• be comfortable with Android Studio, Gradle, Dexguard, Retrofit
• have a great intuition and keen eye for Android design
• have experience building and deploying Android apps to Google Play
• be friendly and comfortable talking directly to customers
• be a happy, positive-minded and kind person
• be a Buffer user
• be an independent and versatile hacker, with the ability to pick up different languages, frameworks and techniques with relative ease.
• give back to the developer community (through blog posts, open source, conferences/speaking, stackoverflow answers)
• have experience working with another startup before (would be awesome, it’s cool if not)
