FLIPP is growing and we're looking to add a Web Developer to our team in Calgary Alberta. Do you have a passion for databases, server side scripting, web standards, and web application development? Who you are:
- Minimum 2 years experience working in an agency or development team setting
- Self motivated with the ability to multi-task and manage your time
- Team player. A creative problem solver who is open to new approaches and collaboration to create the best results on time and budget.
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail in regards to both design and code
- Passion for web standards, best practices and knowing when to adopt the latest trends
- Experience working with comps, wireframes and design templates
- Perpetual learner, loves to tinker and has a passion for innovation
Skills & requirements
What you know:
- HTML5/CSS3 with an understanding of progressive enhancement
- Expert level experience with PHP & MySQL and a solid understanding of OOP
- Experience with server side technologies (PHP, ASP, MySQL, MSSQL)
- Expert level experience with Javascript, jQuery & Ajax
- Experience with both custom and off the shelf CMS's (ie. WordPress)
- Experience with SVN or similar Version Control Systems
- Isn't afraid of shedding their GUI in favour of Terminal commands
- Passion for web standards, best practices and knowing when to adopt the latest trends
- Experience working with comps, wireframes and design templates
- Comprehension of cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility issues
- Strong attention to detail in regards to both design and code
- Experience with Mobile Development (Responsive & Mobile Web)
- The ability to work in any operating systems ( OSX, Linux and Windows )
We'd like you even more if you had:
- Knowledge of server technology, IT and networking
- Experience with enterprise level CMS’s ( ie. SiteFinity CMS )
- Envolved in industry events or contribute to open source projects
