A little bit about us and our mission

Our mission is based on three key values: grow, share and relax. First of all, it’s our goal to facilitate career growth and development opportunities for all of our employees. We’re on top of innovations and new technologies, so our developers can always operate in a top-notch environment. But growing is more than just getting better at developing. We also encourage our people to develop their soft skills by training them in expressing themselves.

We do this, because we’re convinced that you have to share your knowledge if you want to achieve great things. This is why we organize frequent sLabs and DevJams, which are learning events focused on gaining knowledge through the sharing of knowledge. This paves the path for the entire community to grow.

But even though we highly value all of this, we also like to have fun! It’s our goal to have happy employees, which is why we, among other things, organize monthly ‘Nibbles & Drinks’. Besides, our employees are welcome to join us on events, from BBQ’s on the beach to incentive trips such as skiing in the Alpes.

The life at Sytac:

Daily:

As developers we work in a teams with 5-7 other developers with the same skills. It's up to the team to manage who takes part in discussions with users and stakeholders to come to concrete new products or features. The team is responsible for all activities of the software delivery lifecycle. That's why on a daily base we design, develop, collect, store and process huge sets of applications and data. We deploy, integrate, configure, maintain, implement, and monitor!

What are sLabs?

In a nutshell, sLab or Sytac-Labs are technical workshop organized from Sytac devs for Sytac devs. We share knowledge while having fun together with a day (or half a day) off from the client.

A few examples;

Nibbles and Drinks!

Once a month we invite all our developers to a local brewery to celebrate the end of the month and the start of a new one! Beer and finger food on us!

What are DevJams?

Right now it's a great moment to be a technologist. From micro services, to ES7, to functional programming: the shape of the software development industry is radically and rapidly changing by the month. DevJam meetings aim to enable software professionals to explore new technologies and to stay on top of everything development related.

Incentive trips

The best part about being an independent and financially healthy company is that we invest heavily back into you. We invest in our developers both to help you grow career wise, and sponsor leisure activities to help you relax and bond with your colleagues back at Sytac.

During the winter season we talk our developers Skiing in Austria whilst staying at luxury hotels.

During summer we’ve drifted cars, raced boats, and rented beach clubs, all in the name of summer and good weather ☀️😎
