We are looking for a Senior Algorithm Engineer - Logistics , Routing Optimisation (f/m/d) with a strong algorithm background to join our Logistics team to help us create a fast, reliable and transparent delivery experience. You will be developing services and algorithms that connect riders and vendors to millions of customers everyday. Your Mission:

Participate in one of the most exciting components of the food delivery business: dispatching algorithm, simulation and route estimations are some of the topics you'll work on a daily basis!
Small improvement matters at scale! Implement and improve cutting edge algorithms for optimising our dispatching process.
Be a key part of the entire development lifecycle from specification to deployment and running the apps in production.
Make sure your changes reach the expected outcome by helping collect and analyse data.
Innovate technology, process and product within the whole organization.
Work closely with research scientists and operations analysts to ensure business needs are effectively translated into our algorithms.
Ensure scalable and quality code is built.

Your Heroic Skills:

Solid background on implementing algorithms for complex and rich domains.
Proficiency in developing software with JVM languages (Java, Kotlin).
Good understanding of computational complexity.
Exposure to the logistics domain and in particular to TSP, VRP algorithms is highly beneficial.
You are comfortable with owning problems, not just code. You analyze the outcome of your changes and are prepared to come up with new approaches if something is not working well.
You are a pragmatic programmer who understands what is needed to get things done.
You get up to speed with new systems and concepts quickly.
Having experience with DevOps (Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, BigQuery)… is an advantage
