ruby eventmachine : issue when doing EM.watch on a Net::telnet instance

Question

I am trying to write a web telnet client using HTML5 websocket with ruby eventmachine. but it failed when EM.watch tried to watch a new created instance of Net::Telnet. following is the server side and client side code:

it looked that the EM.watch can't watch the Net::Telnet::new instance because it couldn't convert the file handle to an Integer somewhere in the lib. I tried the same thing with EM.watch to watch a TCPSocket, this eventmachine worked very well. Does anybody have the same issue before?

The error in `attach_fd': can't convert Net::Telnet into Integer (TypeError) is being raised because Eventmachine.watch() "registers a given file descriptor or IO object with the eventloop" and the Net::Telnet instance is neither of these.

According to the Net::Telnet documentation, the sock attribute of the Net::Telnet instance refers to the socket used by the instance. So you could pass this to the EventMachine.watch() method.
