I have following code:

INPUT Input = { 0 };
Input.type       = INPUT_KEYBOARD;
Input.mi.dwFlags = KEYEVENTF_EXTENDEDKEY;
Input.ki.wVk   = 'A'; // tried 0x41, ( UCHAR )VkKeyScan( 'A' )
SendInput( 1, &Input, sizeof( INPUT ) );

but it generates me only 'a'. How to force it to generate upper case as well?

    You have to simulate holding a shift key, just like you would when typing – InspiredBy Jul 11 '12 at 17:28
  • As Shenaniganz hinted at, you are simulating a key press. Do you have an upper-case "A" key and a lower-case "a" key on your keyboard? – TheZ Jul 11 '12 at 17:29

    INPUT type contains a nameelss union, so you really should not assign to mi and ki members of the same variable. – rodrigo Jul 11 '12 at 19:44
