I have followed a few tutorials which explain how to use CursorLoader with SQLiteDatabase. When I run my ListView there are no results returned. I have confirmed that there is one entry in the database using an Eclipse plugin.

Here is my contentprovider with sqliteopenhelper implementation

I know that the insert part of my ContentProvider works because I was able to insert a record. What I want to work is that I pull back all data and display it in my listview. Any help would be appreciated.

I dont see you calling setNotificatioUri on the cursor before you return it

have a look at one of my query methods that I know works

as you can see I call the setNotificationUri which by the docs says

Register to watch a content URI for changes. This can be the URI of a specific data row (for example, "content://my_provider_type/23"), or a a generic URI for a content type.

and the ContentResolver parameter says

The content resolver from the caller's context. The listener attached to this resolver will be notified.

Well guys I found the answer. I had overridden the getCursor() method of my CustomAdapter and it was returning super.getCursor(); Obviously (duh) the super's cursor was set as null when I instantiated my adapter object so it was always returning null :)
