I would like to know if is possible to use two Surface views in the same layout and view the content of both of them at the same time. In future, I would make use of a Grid-view of video-view, where each video-view uses VLC.

I modified this sample (android-vlc-sample) using a Fragment.

The result is that I see only one video. How can I solve this?

From log-cat I do not see any major error, but I think there are rendering problems for android UIThread

  • I have a same problem in a background service, I tried run multiple instances of LibVLC but this not work, only played the last streaming. You resolved your problem with multiple fragments?

    no, Vlc for android did not support multiple instance, but I know that vlc staff were working on this. Check official vlc developer forum.

Please try this one:

I had same problem. What I did was to follow VLC's own example (https://code.videolan.org/videolan/libvlc-android-samples) and make same build.gradle etc.
