at first i saw this post How can you authenticate using the Jersey Client against a JAAS enabled web-server?

but it's only working for Jersey 1.x versions. My question is how to implement the same behaviour in Jersey 2.x?

I need to be able to call a secured rest service from my servlet and for this i'm using Jersey 2.11 client api.

I'm using org.glassfish.jersey.core version 2.11

  • I finally came back to Jersey 1.18.1. This is not right, why doesn't Jersey 2.11 client take care of the FORM method authentication... – jon Jul 29 '14 at 15:38

Jersey 2 ClientRequestFilter might solve your problem for form based authentication.

Hear is the code snippet for the same.
