I made an Analog Clock and its working but when a remove the filloval (Background) the seconds hand keep repeating itself and but when i add filloval it is working. but i do not want the background there. Thanks

Instead of overriding paint(), Swing programs should override paintComponent(). In addition, invoke super.paintComponent() to avoid this kind of rendering artifact. A similar problem is illustrated in this related example. Some additional observations:

  • Thanks trashgod it works as i wanted. the only problem i am having now is i wants to create jframe in netbeans and create jpanel inside it manual , create thread and use getGraphics() but is not working could not pass the code because of space, but this is piece of it private void drawStructure(Graphics normal_g){ Graphics2D g = (Graphics2D) normal_g.create(); g = (Graphics2D) jptimer.getGraphics(); public void paintComponent(Graphics g) { g = (Graphics2D) jptimer.getGraphics(); } thanks once again

  • Thanks trashgod i learnt alot from that, by the way i am trying to change the hands(second, minute, hour) to images is tried but i didnt get it is there anyway you can point me to. thanks once again
